Truck Centers Inc.TROY — The American Veterans Traveling Tribute’s Vietnam Wall will be at the Truck Centers Inc. Training Center, 2376 Formosa Road in Troy, Oct. 20-23.
Created to honor the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War and bring healing to communities, the wall is an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. It stands 8 feet tall at the apex, spans 360 feet in length, and is the largest traveling tribune in the nation.
An opening ceremony will is planned at 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 20, with the memorial closing at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. The wall will be accessible 24-hours a day with online name locator resources. A locator booth will be available daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
