Ohio State football hosting scouts from more than two dozen NFL franchises for Week 1 vs. Notre Dame

There’s a reason that Ohio State-Notre Dame was chosen as the game of the week. There will be plenty of NFL scouts at the game because of it.

Ohio State’s Associate AD for Communications Jerry Emig announced that 43 scouts will be at the game looking at talent from both sides. The scouts will also be representing 26 NFL teams as well.

This game will have no shortage of talent, especially on the Ohio State side. C.J. Stroud, TreVeyon Henderson, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba alone should be enough to attract plenty of scouts. It’s a little surprising that not every NFL team will have a scout at the game.

The 6 NFL teams that won’t be there may miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime when it comes to scouting high level talent. We’ll see if more details come out about what teams will be attending.

Ohio State-Notre Dame kicks off on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
