Jeopardy! fans are not holding back on what they think of the rumored permanent hosts.
While Sony Pictures Entertainment has not officially confirmed the news, reports are saying that Jeopardy! guest hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will split hosting duties permanently.
Now, fans of the game show are debating the two hosts on social media, and it’s a mixed bag of opinions.

Some Jeopardy! fans are perfectly satisfied with Bialik and Jennings continuing to share hosting duties.
One viewer, @goolander91, said of the news on Twitter, “The two current @Jeopardy hosts are very fun, we enjoy them. They’re both great! So why not keep them! Ken Jennings is super laid-back and kind of born for the job, but Mayim is super charming, quriky-smart [sic], and stylish!”
Another fan responded to the tweet by saying, “Wife loves them both!”
Others are just happy that the debacle of searching for a replacement for the longtime host, the late Alex Trebek, might be over.

One viewer, @DGQuoVadimus, stated, “Good for them & the show. They both do perfectly fine jobs & have their own strengths. Still upset at the show for A) making it feel like the guest host thing was a try out; and B) the debacle of Richards. But the show is about the game & contestants, not host. Trebek knew that.”
But, of course, this positive perspective isn’t the case for a lot of other Jeopardy! fans, with many disagreeing on social media about whether Jennings or Bialik is better for the job. Some are even intent on protesting Jeopardy! until one is removed.

There are intense fans on both sides of the debate, with one fan saying, “I would rather watch reruns that I’ve seen multiple times than watch Ken Jennings host new episodes of @Jeopardy,” while another said, “That’s a shame that Jeopardy keeps Mayim on as host. I watch only when Ken Jennings is on. I don’t care for Mayim.”
Jeopardy! fans have been notably harsh toward Bialik in the past, with the actor commenting on the “passionate” fans who insult her physical appearance and other things on social media.
TV Insider held a poll in April on who people want as the permanent host. With more than 29,000 votes, around 70% voted for Jennings, while Bialik got about 30% of the vote.
Despite fans’ strong opinions, it looks like Sony wants to keep both hosts in the long term, though viewers anxiously await the official announcement from the network.
